Paris Fashion Week delivered so many amazing shows that I decided to split it into two posts to keep it at a decent length 🙂 I could happily dedicate a whole post to Elie Saab as he was my favourite designer who is known for his unique style and femininity of his gowns.
His collection titled “Dark Opulence”, shading in hues of plum, burgundy and emerald put a clear focus on daywear pieces and at the end of the show he sent a final series of heavily embroidered evening dresses that shimmered like the Saab designs the industry has come to expect from the designer.
Balmain show was also on top of my list which was inspired by military and samurai themes and animal prints that added a jungle vibe to the whole collection. There was also a lot of leather with bandeau skirts, chunky biker jackets and combat trousers. Puffy peplums provided a taste of excess and fur details gave a sophisticated look.
